Untitled Art: Special Projects

Untitled Art’s Special Projects explore impermanence, materiality, and identity. Highlights include Sudanese artist Ibrahim El-Salahi’s Pain Relief, exhibited for the first time in the U.S., and Reynier Leyva Novo’s Federal Cleaning, which uses dust from federal monuments as a metaphor for decay. Other highlights include Judy Pfaff’s El Patio and Ralph Iwamoto’s geometric paintings.

Lovewatts and SCOPE Art Show Collaboration

Forbidden Fruit: The Art of Cuban Sexuality at WEAM

This historic exhibition explores 90 years of Cuban erotic art. Works by Wifredo Lam, René Portocarrero, and others delve into themes of mythology, spirituality, and sexuality. Opening night includes Breaking Boundaries, a photographic exploration of gender diversity by Mariette Pathy Allen.

Ben Miller’s Endangered Rivers at Art Miami

Montana artist Ben Miller brings his Endangered Rivers series to life using a fly-fishing rod to create layered plexiglass paintings. Proceeds from his on-site installation will benefit the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, supporting conservation efforts.

NADA Miami’s Curated Spotlight

Curated by Jasmine Wahi, this year’s spotlight features eight diverse presentations from emerging and underrepresented voices. Highlights include Bre Andy’s exploration of intimacy through a feminine lens, Gonzalo Garcia’s societal critiques, and Woo Hannah’s fabric sculptures reflecting on femininity and gravity.

Buffalo Prescott’s Casual Safe Initiative will also distribute artist-designed Narcan and safe-sex kits at NADA Miami. A NADA Talk on December 5 at 3 PM will feature Buffalo Prescott leadership discussing the project’s significance.
